Deputy head of the Civil Aviation Administration of the Republic of Tang Ming said that the country’s carriers are ready to create a flight schedule to various cities in Russia.
Before arriving in Moscow, the official held a meeting with the head of the Federal Air Transport Agency. Thang Minh and Dmitry Yarov, as representatives of their departments, discussed the necessary administrative procedures for the start of flights between the Russian Federation and Vietnam. Tang Ming was also provided with information about the capabilities of airports in the Russian capital.
According to a representative of the Federal Air Transport Agency, Tang was more than satisfied with the efficiency of the three airports Vnukovo, Sheremetyevo and Domodedovo. In addition, Vietnamese and Russian airlines are ready to resume regular and charter flights.
It became known that the Deputy Head of the Transport Department, Igor Chalik, recently visited the Republic. He said that flights between the countries will begin in November. Currently, the only direct flight is carried out from Irkutsk to Hanoi through the airline «IrAero». However, the carrier cannot accommodate all tourists wishing to travel on this route.
Vietnam will allow Russian airlines to fly within the country on aircraft that do not have foreign registration. In turn, Russia will provide assistance to Vietnam Airlines and VietJetAir in resolving domestic flight insurance issues.
Cooperation between Hanoi and Moscow cannot be called unexpected. The reason is that Russia previously assumed obligations to finance the transport and energy infrastructure of Vietnam.
The signed agreements will greatly speed up the resolution of the issue of starting air transportation. Presumably, tourists will be able to visit the resorts of the Asian country as early as December.
